Laundry Too Bubbly
Laundry accumulation in the storage room created a hazardous situation with potential water damage. We promptly removed the excess laundry, addressed moisture issues, and formulated a preventive strategy to ensure the storage area remains dry and organized. This comprehensive approach eliminated any risks related to water damage while restoring order to the storage space.

Water Leak In The Yard
A cracked 90-degree elbow was discovered in the buried 3/4 PVC pipe after we flipped the separated sidewalk strip out of the way. We removed the damaged section of the pipe, made the necessary repairs, and tested for leaks at the meter with a result of 0.00. After confirming the integrity of the repairs, we refilled the hole and securely placed the concrete slab back, addressing any gaps to eliminate potential trip hazards.

Water Heater Replacement
An aging 40-gallon gas water heater was causing significant leakage through the ceiling into the bathroom, creating an urgent need for replacement. We efficiently removed the faulty unit and installed a high-performance American Pro Line water heater, ensuring reliable hot water access for the household while also enhancing energy efficiency.

Front Yard Pooling
A cracked 90-degree elbow in a 3/4 PVC pipe required immediate attention. We carefully cut the sidewalk strip to access the pipe, removed the damaged section, and replaced it with a new segment. After testing for leaks at the meter and ensuring all readings were zero, we filled in the hole and repositioned the concrete slab, completing small fill-in work to prevent any trip hazards.

Toilet Not Flushing
We addressed a complex issue involving a damaged toilet drain with a transition from 4” to 3”. After breaking through concrete, we removed a vape stuck within the pipe. We inspected with a camera, rebuilt and glued the drain, centered the new flange, and backfilled with sand and concrete. Concrete cured overnight, and we returned to reinstall the toilet and connect the Sloan valve.

AC Not Working
The compressor on the unit was shorted to ground, prompting us to replace it while ensuring compatibility with the existing system. We sourced the compressor from American Standard dealer and rerouted the two-wire line set. Additionally, we replaced the capacitors, verified everything was blown out, and leak tested the system to prevent future issues keeping the 15+ year old condenser running longer.

Plumbing
A small leak was detected in the residential plumbing system, prompting us to unscrew the meter. We found no seal, so we added a seal and installed a one-inch repair coupling. After allowing the glue to set for 30 minutes, we returned water to the house and bled the hose bib. The meter showed a reading of 0.02, indicating a possible small drip inside the house. We performed a thorough check around all joints and found no wetness, suggesting the leak may be minor.

Water Leak Coming Into The Kitchen Hallway
We cut out and installed a new tub spout and faucet, using 1/2 copper pressed fittings to ensure a secure connection. After turning the water on and checking for leaks, we carefully silicone the side back on and taped it to hold until the silicone dried, ensuring a professional and watertight finish for our customer.

The American HVAC AND PLUMBING Company is the best I have ever used since moving to Southaven; Mississippi! The estimate of my repair work was fair but most importantly American HVAC and Plumbing kept there word!! I have tried two other companies in Southaven, Ms and had nightmare experiences with both! High estimates and charging me for just coming out to give me estimates!! One Company which I won't give name out, actually tried to sabotage my system by taking apart and force me into buying a new system for over 10,000 Dollars!! If you want a good price and honest workers Call American HVAC and Plumbing! The employees are respectful and have knowledge of Air-conditioning! More importantly you can trust the Owner Josh!!
My technician, Ashley, was awesome! She was very professional and knowledgeable. She repaired an old pipe under my kitchen sink that the threads were rusty and corroding. Then she installed a new shut off valve, and my water was working great again! I would definitely use American again, and would ask that they send Ashley. The job didn't take long at all, and I was impressed with the results. Thanks Ashley and American!
